China's quest for world domination is going to hit a wall.

Here's why: https://www.wsj.com/articles/chinas-...st-11549717201 ("China’s Demographic Danger Grows as Births Fall Far Below Forecast" -- in spite of lifting one-child policy).

With the kids situation - it will take a long while till it becomes a problem.
China will dominate the world, it's just a matter of time, but it will be sooner than we expect.

Do you mean economically? I'm not so sure about that, as far as culture I can't think of anywhere that's interested in importing Chinese culture.

Yep. It's getting there in a fast pace. Assuming that nothing very serious happens to stop them.
The U.S. cannot slow Chinese economic growth nor contain its power. China is changing the rules, whether the U.S. likes it or not.

Elnina is correct. China is already the world's largest exporter by value and has made all of the world's major trading nations dependent on China as a trade partner. China is well on its way now to displacing USA economically and becoming the world's most dominant superpower. China's Top Trading Partners

Here is why Americans think China is in a quest for world domination:

""Psychological projection is a defence mechanism in which the human ego defends itself against unconscious impulses or qualities by denying their existence in themselves while attributing them to others." -- Wikipedia

Why are you convinced that China is in a quest for world domination, rather than just wanting to take care of its own well-being? Because if you were China, you would?

Good point. Personally I don't believe China has set a goal for itself of world domination. It's a clever, patient, business savvy nation that's just doing what it thinks it needs to do to look out for its own best interests first. But if it ends up being the world's dominant nation as a consequence of looking out for itself that's a bonus for China, extra icing on the cake.

China will fail. If they couldn't do it while trump is in power, then heaven has turned its back on the center kingdom.

Countries industrialized tend to have the usual population problems of aging, low birth rate, shrinking etc, because women have jobs and do not have time. That's why there are less babies. China would have the same problems. USA has significant immigration to keep young and growing population was spared from those problems. Now Trump is building wall and doing the wrong things, economic population problems could rise.

World domination necessarily has the dominating economy of exports. In the past, US domination in exports was not challenged at all, until China. It seems Trump does not need world trade, and wants trade war.
