Tbh if people would be honest, you'd probably receive similar results all over Asia. The societies are just less open about sex and people start having sex a lot later than in the West, which is also why the teenage pregnancy rate is extremely low across the entire region (3 or 4/1000 in Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong), unlike the US or the UK (close to 20/1000; it's shockingly awful).
Besides, the credibility of the survey (self-reporting) looks pretty laughable.
There's probably so many virgins because they don't know how to touch no hugs, no kissing with tongue and no spooning. They watch video's while they hump. Too much virtual sex.

Yah. Well, if the definition of healthier relationships is the continued existence of the polity, then No, given the declining birthrate (which has been declining since 2011), Japan does not have healthier relationships than Western Civilization. Although Europe & indeed, the US are losing ground too.
If the US didn't allow more immigration than Japan does, then our birthrate (US) would also be contracting.

Do a little more research into Japan's issues if you want a better grasp of what's going on. If you want confirmation bias that Japan's relationships are superior and more healthy than Western ones, go look on an anime/japanophile forum.

Good point, but it isn't much better with Westerners, go on Pornhub and you can find tonnes of videos labelled "cheating husband / wife / girlfriend / boyfriend" glorifying infidelity. How many partners find their significant other on dating apps now? It's really a sad state of affairs for romance globally, not just in Western societies.

To be clear I'm not trying to make it sound like western relationships are "better." The divorce rates make that abundantly clear, and the commonality and general acceptance of ghosting, back burner/side relationships, etc are generally unhealthy or at least emblematic of problems in society. However, it's not an either/or situation, not one that is all encompassing... But, Japan's problems are well-documented and acknowledged.
The culture of using prostitutes or mistresses is also much more established and entrenched in Japanese and east Asian culture in general, and in the modern era, this tends to come at the expense of the mental well-being of wives and family stability. Which begs the question, what's worse: to cheat, or to leave? In the West, where individuality takes precedent, we tend to look at it under the lens that it's better to split up and do what's best for yourself than to stay in a bad relationship; in East Asia, where filial piety dominates individual fulfillment, the attitude is that it's better to stay in a bad relationship for the sake of family name, reputation and stability. As others have pointed out, this is certainly changing and divorce is more common than it once was, but this will shakenthe foundations of society all the same that it has in the West... Perhaps more so.
