Default dual citizenship

I am a Canadian born in Quebec to a father from France and a mother from Canada.
I want to apply for dual citizenship to be able to travel, live and possibly work in France and/or Europe.
Does anyone know what steps need to be taken to start the application process.
Years ago I had called the embassy, but they were rude and gave no information whatsoever.
Thanks,
KAT

i think your father needs to fill out some forms, so that you can get a french (or european) passport. i am in the process right now of having my son get dual citizenship through my husband. he is filling out the forms. but we have kind of slacked off a little, so it's been a couple of months since we got the paperwork.
go online for the french embassy and see if they have the paperwork there

From the internet you should be able to download and print all the instructions, forms and advice from the French Embassy in Ottawa
France Embassy in Canada - Embassies in Ottawa Canada
or the French Consulates throughout the provinces
Consulates - Visas - La France au Canada/France in Canada.
