These types of threads are created by a type of American. Gee, wonder why...

As much as I like the US and Americsns in general, there is a subset of Americans that makes this anti-China thing quite runny. It reminds me of when I became aware that in Britain there was an attempt to belittle the USA and Americans when it was clear that British power was waining and in its place was the rising American power. The similarities are quite something!

I agree. We have had several overseas Chinese people on here say this now, even insult westerners. Yet people here continue to turn a blind eye to them and pretend like there is nothing wrong. Specially here in Canada. We are screwed.

Some people from India are the same way(except certain religious groups).

Didn't they already try that in 1989?

People are less likely to protest when the authorities know no boundaries of protecting their power.

My point is they genuinely support the government. Most in occupied territories of Nazi Germany and Eastern Europe under socialist rule also did not publicly protest or rebel against the occupation, but they did not approve of the regime. Chinese people do, which makes them the problem.

The vast majority of overseas Chinese (note: I am not referring to Chinese diaspora in other countries) are in particular the most appalling as they are often the most defensive about China's abhorrent actions. The same phenomenon can be observed amongst other authoritarian/dictatorship regimes like Turkey and Russia. Overseas Turks and Russians are often Erdogan and Putin's blindest and most stubborn supporters.

IDK, I think these types of people are very proud of their countries/heritage and feel defensive when they hear criticism about their country since they take it as a personal attack. But I’m sure behind closed doors amongst friends they rant about how ineffective the government is.

Well, a vast majority of people respect, and admire the existence of China. Including me. Foreign, Exotic, Pagodas, mainland Asia, Affordable enough, strong economics, probably more than 100 mega cities throughout, regional Province national domestic variety of their own in quite massive terriotory coverage area in land mass, mainland Asian characters in writing, Food, and spiritually powerful absolute correct forms of Feng Shui. I believe in this home ritual rational system a lot.

Mandarin Chinese is the absolute first language I went into and that is back in high school. Used to know thousands of words. Since college, don't remember almost anything. Very trippy psychedellic unrcognizable fuzzy blurry exciting memory.

I don't know why I visited South Korea before China. And how my own ethnic Eastern European Romanian heritage family connections of the native language just happened much later 2014 to 2019 compared to around 2005-2007. Now I am only billingual in Romanian.

The first area that I want to visit in China is Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, Qinghai, Gangsu Provinces of the far north. Harbin, Shenyang, Changchun, Dalian, Urumqi, Baotou, Lanzhou up to Xi'an.

Well, China is perfect if these issues don't ever escalate further:

Uyghurs prejudice or discrimination of Xinjiang Province
Tibet Autonomy
Hong Kong Macau Versus The Mainland
Air pollution of Factories in close proximity of Beijing
Ecological Friendly Businesses In Simultaneous Accordance To Such Labeling
Censorship of News Media
Standards of Economic Hard Work Competition Ethic
Ideological Sociological Exact Tangent Point Of Conformity
Weight Calories
Early Versus Having A Late Schedule
Thoughts of Global Superpower
Wages Salaries Monthly Annual Income Disparity Between The Middle Class, Poor, And Wealthy
Young Modern 2000's Versus The Old
People Really Remembering The Feng Shui Theory Among Practice Finally Experience

I just hope the best for China and that there is just never any issues. There is still tons of endless redeeming factors that makes China nice, scenic, and attractive to foreigners other than natives. One of the best in Planet Earth well within Top Rank 25 to 50 Countries. I like China a lot, and still have no complaints.
