Almost both are same size.... which one is the best and most beautiful?

Had to vote "none of them". With the way the question was formulated, one of the options (USA or Europe) HAS ot to be the most beautiful and the best, and therefore, there should not be a "none of them"-option.
I love grammar, don't you?
Both have their charm, can't say which one is the best or anything since I have not been everywhere. Plus I'm biased.

It is between two options, not the best or most beautiful in the world. Technically, he used the superlative which is supposed to be used for 3 or more options, but it's still not implying that either is the most beautiful or best in existence.
Also, if you want to nitpick, then between two options it would be "neither of them", not "none of them".
---
I have to say that "best" & "beautiful" are very subjective, and I don't have the traveling experience to give my opinion anyway.

Oh I can tell you his motivation for opening this thread. He opened up two threads in the 'General US' section on a subject titled, "USA should switch over to the metric system" , like the rest of the world. He did'nt like the response he got in his first thread he started back in May 2008 when he first joined this forum. Hence his response to everyone in that thread was this:

Imperial/English measurement sucks and does'nt make sense. Only stupid idiot Americans use it while entire world use metric. 1 mile = 1.6 kilometer, does mile make sense? NO!
|
So he opens up another thread about, "Use both Imperial + Metric on road signs in the USA" in the same 'General US' section of this forum. He did not like the responses there either so he concluded with:

Perhaps this helps clears things up and answers your question as to what his motivation was for opening this thread.
But as to the "USA vrs Europe" , question, I would have to agree here with user, 'Sweden', you cannot give an answer because both areas are so large and diverse, that it's impossible to give an answer. Both places have good and bad, diversity in climate and so many other variables that it needs to be specifically broken down into exact locations.

What an odd question ! Why should either be "the best" . There is no quantifying beauty, "most beautiful" and "best" when you look at such vastly disparate places.
Two vastly different places , both with their good points and bad points. I don't understand why it is so important to some people to try and judge things which are in no way comparable....

Europe is more beautiful. Who's the best? I don't know. I had to vote for "none of them".

We have also already discussed this subject in several threads the last few months.
And I think all of them got locked.

Funny you should mention that, BigSwede.
I was having the same recollections about these types of thread which seldom bring to light any useful information, but do provide a wonderful platform for trolls of various ilks.
