The US is the best, followed by Australia, New Zealand, and Canada...in terms of living.

its so obvious usa is the most beautiful country in the world its funny I have heard some places say that canada is nicer. i just been all over canada from the west cornor to the east. and also i have been to 25 states of america and it wasnt even half as nice as america. I think best thing humanbeing can do for themselves is to be honest if not to others but at least to their own selves to live the best quality of life and enjoy the best places on earth. i know people get joulous of usa but god has given every thing to this most beautiful place on earth. i am soo happy and i was so lucky to have a chance to live here. Its really heaven on earth. I am happy there is a real scale here not based on hate over people, political or government dispute. thankss

RAH RAH America! USA! USA! USA!

Give it a rest, foos. You haven't even qualified "best" and you're already being homers.

Well, you obviously detest the place and have stated before that you want out. For someone so young to hate their own country is extremely alarming, in my opinion.

These kinds of posts counter that type of attitude.

I've never said I detest the place. I'm simply not going to make the clearly mendacious claim that it's better than every other country in the world at everything. That's daft. And the sentiment gets irritating.

I'm sorry if you expect unflinching loyalty from your fellow citizens, but no place, person, thing, or idea will ever get that from me.

You know how you feel about New Yorkers who think New York is the best at everything? That's how I feel about Americans who think America is the best at everything.

He doesn't hate the u.s.a. per se, just in the wrong place. There is a lot to like, but they are usually in very concentrated areas. Perhaps we weren't indoctrinated enough Personally my votes would go to Switzerland, Belgium, France as far as refined functioning society goes... as far as the people go, I very much enjoyed West Africa.

Exactly. Certain parts of the US are great places and are great at many things. But if you're going to say the US as a whole is best, there'd better be some specific category and something to back it up.

Patriotism should stop being used as an excuse for insularity.

And someone as young as you are shouldn't be so bitter. It's unhealthy.

I hardly fit the mold of mindless patriotism.
