Which country has the best sports culture/supporters?
Which countries support their teams and country the most? Which country has the most die hard fans. I pick America.

Do you mean international competition, professional sports, or both?
Internationally, I don't think anybody travels better than Brazil. Manchester United is (supposedly) the most popular professional sports team in the world.
America is good at filling stadiums. But we should learn to sing supportive and insulting songs at the opposition. You need to take a look at some youtube videos of European sporting events. The atmosphere puts ours to shame.
I going with Europe for the most supportive and die hard fans.

Until the Euro's try taking their shirts off and painting themselves their team's colors on a January day at Lambeau Field, I'm not impressed.

America is far from having the best sports. Baseball and football.... pfft come on. Baseball can't even be considered a sport and football sucks because of the constant stoppage in the game. But the US has the NBA so thats good.

I just knew it wouldn't take long for some Green Bay Packer fan to pipe in. What's so special about taking a shirt off in the winter? Packer fans have so much booze in their blood, they don't know if they got to the stadium by foot or by horseback.

Easy there, slick. I'm not a Packer's fan.
What's so special about it? Have you tried it? I haven't but I'm sure it isn't exactly fun.

sorry, I thought you were a Packer fan. Our sworn enemies. And yes, I've been at a football game (in HS) and taken off my jacket and shirt in very cold temps. I live in MN...it gets cold here too.

In Melbourne, Australia they have these people called Collingwood fans (or supporters as we call them in Oz) in a game called Australian Rules football. For the most part they have very poor dental hygiene, limited numeracy and literacy skills, and very seldom are they able to complete sentences. The Collingwood Magpies are more despised than the Yankees and even more detested than Leeds United. They call themselves the black and white Army. Others refer to them as the colourless scum. Their club president is the World’s biggest tosser. However, one cannot question their passion. I defy anyone to find a group of supporters more committed and loyal to their club in any sport anywhere in the world.
You might get 90 000 people to a Collingwood game and their will be just 70 000 teeth in the crowd. But you don't need teeth to be passionate.

Ireland- Munster Rugby- This team will score many, many tries just by hearing their fans shout them on. They've never lost a game (well, maybe just one) when played on their own field because of their fans.
Ireland IMO have the best all around sporting atmosphere because of the passion of their favorite sport AND team. It's all good fun and there's never any violence or bashing of the other team like there is in the US.
BTW, I've seen that crazy Australian Rules football played against the Irish football team during one of those "friendly" competitions- That sport is brutal and so violent compared to the Irish version! I think Ireland is considering not participating anymore since Ireland's players are getting viciously punched and kicked (the way they play in Austrailia, I guess!)
