Considering Relocation to Singapore from the US
I will like to get ideas from the forum about relocating to Singapore from the US. Is it a good city for single professionals in her thirties? How about diversity? Would you live there? Is this friendly place? Is English spoken for business? Thank you.

This is the official Singapore government immigration site.
ICA - Home
First determine if you are eligible/qualified to move there and work there.
As has been discussed many times before here....*sigh*....in this world people are not free to just pack off and set up a life in a new country because the idea suits them.
Do some research.

Thank you for the link. I am doing the research, isn't that apparent? That's why I posted on the forum!

You've probably already disovered that you won't be able to emigrate to Singapore, but I always think it's funny to read posters asking about 'diversity' The perennial American question!
Anyhow, yes - Singapore is diverse. They have Malays, Indians, Thais, and filipinos.

English is the official language in Singapore, so obviously most people will be able to speak English (even though some old people tend to speak with a strange accent). Diversity? (I think its about 75% Chinese). Housing is expensive thou, so also put it into account.
