What are the most friendly cities of the world?
By friendly I mean open to visitors, relaxed, hospitable, accepting of cultural differences...
I have heard that Amsterdam fits this description. True?

Hmmm... the ones I found to have the nicest people would be:
Phoenix, Arizona
Stuttgart, Germany (don't believe the lie that Germans are cold!)
Nairobi, Kenya
Singapore

Honolulu...the aloha spirit is alive and amazing. I have never met kinder, more accepting people since moving to Hawaii. I would actually venture to say that the neighbor islands are a bit nicer (and more laid back) but Honolulu is the city- and is still full of aloha!

I was in Amsterdam over Easter. People are quite respectful. Watch out for the trams and bikes more than cars. I recommend the canal boats. Some locals dislike all the tourists who are there only to get stoned.
The city is surprisingly small and very touristy. Amsterdam is mostly hype. Nothing special.

Most people would object to me saying this but I really feel like New York City and neighboring cities such as Brooklyn is one the friendliest cities in the world! There's this huge myth that in NYC everyone is really rude and loud and accented. It's a total myth. Go there for youself and you'll meet some of the friendliest people you ever met! You just should know how to speak a little english if your foreign to the country lol.

allenk893, I happen to live in NYC. I asked this question in the World forum because I am looking for possible travel options, and I don't like paying for abuse.
