Cant believe no one listed Toronto - as ugly of course. It's a sad city build with zero planning, ugly cement buildings thrown around randomly. Zero greenery, no emphasis on parks, trees, etc - concrete rules all. Perhaps the worst architecture you will find outside of a former Soviet Union.

Are you out of your mind? I just came back from Toronto, ON and the architecture was IMPRESSIVE, almost everything is centrally located and very convenient. I would say my favorite North American city by far.

I heard the opposite...I've heard it's a very nice city.

From pictures, I think Paris easily has the prettiest streetscapes in the world. London is amazing too.

Ugliest? I don't know, Baghdad? One man's trash is another man's treasure so I can't really call any city ugly.

caseras will become famous soon enoughcaseras will become famous soon enough
some french and italian little city (when I say little I think of cities of about 1 million) are more beautiful than paris or rome or london. These 3 city are huge and of course you'd find slums even if it's true the city center are very beautiful and impressive.

Among the cities, I'd say Valencia in Spain, Bordeaux and bergame are among the most beautiful cities in europe.

Exactly how much time did you spend here to call me "out of my mind"??

Your statement that the Toronto architecture is "IMPRESSIVE" clearly shows you need to come again - but this time with your eyes open.

The Toronto architecture is an immense eyesore and this is a well known fact. If you had asked any of the locals (and if you return please do) they will all tell you that we love our city DESPITE the horrible architecture an the poor city planning. Oh, yes, poor city planning is another thing the city is notorious for - something every local knows about and would have told you if you inquired.

The quality if life here is good, and the city is a lot of fun - that's why people like it here. Not because of the aesthetic value - because it has none.

Horrible architecture and poor city planning? Please, have you ever been to Phoenix, Atlanta, Houston or Charlotte? Phoenix is what I would call an example of "poor city planning" and horrible architecture. I guess, it is all relative.
