This is a good thing, right?
The world is way over populated.
I think China has a cap on how
children each family can have.
America should do the same.

Remember all the talk about the 'Population Explosion' 30-40 years ago?
Many people took that to heart (and rightly so); just that the pendulum has swung too much the other way.
More and more nations are facing Baby Busts these days----------even places like Iran and soon, Mexico.

We would now be at ZPG----------especially there there were a concerted effort to expel the illegal immigrants and deny birthright citizenship to the children of same.

I have no doubt unemployment, homelessness , suicide rates, road accidents are much lower in France than , say, Zimbabwe or Uzbekistan....

Have you currently a love affair with stupidity or what ?
All in all, France is never on the top of the list about the issues your brought.
ALL , not just one, but ALL your claims were wrong.
And in what Suicide rate means how a people is not happy ?
As for suicide (as obesity) 4 regions in the north of France change the face of the country. If in Lille you can find a lot of people who choose to suicide it's absolutely not the case in the south.
The real question is why you brought all these issue ? You could choose birth rate : the highest in Europe, or life expectency : the highest in Europe, etc...
your post never bring anything, there are often pointless

Reduce the world's birthrate today, or destroy the earth tomorrow.

Europe, like most developed nations, has a low birth-rate due to the reasons clongirl mentioned on the first page. Another reason is that in poorer countries, people often have lots of children because they need them later in life to look after them and having many leads to a better chance of having one look after you. Just watch as fast developing countries in asia such as India and China become more wealthy that their birthrates will start dropping.

It's sort of ridiculous, really.
Most of it has to do with culture. I have one sibling, much younger than me, who was very clearly an "accident"
In general, most affluent white Americans just don't want children. I certainly don't. I like living and being a real person; the last thing I want to do is to throw away my life, my education, my research and my income on a baby. And pregnancy? Hell no.
It would mean just that, too: throwing away all my hard work. I would lose everything, and to be honest I really don't like children. I can't stand them. Close friends of mine are the same.

It looks like Europeans have already done their part, you need to be preaching to the African countries.
