The reason is because Europeans "breed" responsibly unlike other in other areas. It is expensive, an in order to raise a child properly, one must be able to afford to have children.

The article by Buchanan should take into account that population control can happen naturally based on economic prosperity of a nation as well as population density...room to roam. People in developing nations continue to "breed" often with little ability to provide for their children. If the west would stop immigration..i.e. the "white" nations are the most desired to live in, this would give the environment (landfills), global warming, loss of virgin land, less demand for water, a bit of a break. Over population is a ticking time bomb, and developing nations should not look to developed nations to solve all of their ills.
