Many massive urban areas aren't shown.

I know. Sometimes people refer to cities as the MSA or CSA while other times actually referring to the city. However, that is not a good representation. Can you honestly tell the difference between, say, Sherman Oaks or Encino or something similar and Glendale? I'm sure the same can be said for Chicago. It's not like only people in the city actually contribute to that city. Also, people from a small town like El Segundo, CA would not say they are from El Segundo, but rather Los Angeles. People of Chicago burbs would not name their individual burb, but rather Chicago. People from Marin County or southern areas of SF say they are from SF. NYC is probably the only exception-they are all proud of which borough they are from. LOL.
But come on...Santiago? LA Metro has more than all of Chile. LOL.

Amazing that that only 2 of the top 30 largest cities in the world are located in Europe. Probably has something to do with their low birthrates.

Beijing is fun. You should come here. A lot of dust and pollution I admit, but I love a challenge.

Sao Paulo. I already live there half the year.
I used to live in the city itself and loved it, but my dog needed more space to run so I got a small house in the burbs with a good sized yard. About 15 miles from the city limits of SP.
Our burb...Barueri
Sometimes I feel like Im back in the US...

Probably not, America only has one and I doubt thaty we are having any problems with population growth. Europe tends to be dense, but that density is divided among many cities.
Amsterdam has less than a million people, so does Rotterdam. The urban area that combines those two cities is as large as any American metro area. They just don't count it as one area.
Britain is larger than California, but London is smaller than Los Angeles. There is no second city that rivals the size of San Francisco or San Diego. Think of all of the British cities, though, that have at least a couple hundred thousand people. Manchester, Liverpool, Coventry, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Bristol, et cetera.

London! NYC would be second, maybe first, but London would be more new to me.
