Of the places that I have been, Moscow is the worst, when there I *always* prefer to take the Metro, which is great. Public transport there is actually about the best I have ever seen. But, too many cars, not enough road, apparently rather lax licensing requirements as most of the drivers don't seem to know what they are doing, plus the macho and eastern fatalism - But I have never been in East Asia at all, or the Middle East, so, there could be objectively worse out there..

Driving in Port-au-Prince is terrifying for a lot of different reasons.

Seoul is really bad. It's just a monster of a city, the third largest on Earth I think, and people don't obey traffic laws. They always run red lights. drive aggressively. Drive up on sidewalks. Ride motorcycles through alleys. You name it, it's happening. People would often drive down one way streets at night and do other insane, dangerous things.

Lol, the fact that most people said Los Angeles, and literally some of the most dangerous cities are still sitting at 0 is funny.Seoul is the worst city on that list... I've been to atleast half of the cities mentioned (active duty military).

Delhi is by far one of the worst for general craziness but if it's sheer volume of traffic and congestion you're talking about then pretty much any city in Japan is horrendous. If you're a woman then Riyadh is pretty bad too, what with the whole being shot thing.

Jakarta. Indonesian driving is the most insane thing I have ever seen. I would not even think of attempting it myself, when I visited my relatives there they handled the transportation. It is extremely common for the six lane highways to often have upwards of 10 de facto lanes of traffic due to median and shoulder driving by bicyclists and motorcycles (Yes they turn medians and shoulders into heavily used extra lanes). Not to mention many of the truck drivers and motorcyclists are insanely reckless. Add to this the diversity of the traffic in some places cars, trucks, bicycles, motorcycles, rickshaws, and even the occasional horse drawn carriage in some, more suburban/rural, areas and it makes for a mess.
In fact in some areas they have put in concrete and tree lined medians because too many people were killed in head on collisions as they tried to pass people by going in the opposite direction lane of a major freeway.
Worst place to drive of the places I have seen.

Many Indian cities are bad.
Picture an intersection, the roads are only wide enough for three cars but there are literally hundreds of cars waiting to pass, packed so tightly that there isn't enough space to walk between them. Sometimes there are even cows lying in the middle of the road and that takes up the width of a car, but the Indians won't move the cow because cows are regarded holy animals.
I'm not exaggerating, it really is like that. But amazingly, the cars always manage to find a way to squeeze through.
