A very cut-throat education system, at least when it comes to higher education as i've understood? High suicide rates.

Tourist, hat and camera
In Europe, japaneses are tourists with a hat and a camera. Everywhere.
They come to Europe not for relax o to have some good days in Holidays. No sun baths. They don't ask about the monuments, hey don't have any interest for the people or the places. They come just to take photos, even when they don't know what's the target.

Ha.. very true. Exact same thing here. But i must add, they are without exception the most upbeat and polite tourist groups that are out there.

I could say many things about my time in Japan...some nice things and some unprintable things.
The time was in 1951 and we were still doing occupation duty.
One clean thing was seeing a woman pulling a plow in a rice paddy with a man steering the best he could under conditions of the time since they did not have any oxen. Rough way to go.
Would like to say some other things that were related to the aftermath of the war.
Imagine those who served in Nam would have some similiar stories...printable and unprintable,
Steve

Japanese men are not crazy about european women at all. Japanese men like girly japanese girls "cute girls". Most Japanese men find european women unnatractive or too masculine, but japanese women might find european men more attractive.
