I doubt there will ever be a NAU because there would be to many people in government on all 3 sides who would lose power.

the only reason is geography. We happen to have thousands of miles of countries immediately to our south that tend to be poor and "3rd world". That's why they are here. El Salvador changed their money to the US Dollar b/c so many ppl were sending funds back home.
Do you think these ppl are sitting around reading a spanish language version of our constitution and saying"that US, sounds great with all their "freedoms" and such, think I'll go there". No, they're here b/c there (used to be) jobs. Now we're only arresting 2,000 ppl a day on the border instead of the 4,000 it was 6 years ago b/c of the economy.
IF Canada and the US were flipped around Canada would be dealing with the immigration question.

Wouldn't "the only reason is geography" imply that they are only coming to the United States because they love the location so much? I doubt that many are coming just for the geography.

Im sorry to break this- but the 'people in government' hold no power. They hold cash. These "unions" of sovereign countries tighten the grip of the real power brokers by lessening the number of actors needed to portray the illusion of power over a given area.

New World Order certainly sounds like a very nice things doesn't it? I hope I at least get to be free when this world becomes a prison.
If I may - Please do research on the NWO and NAU - and connect the dots.

I wouldn't want any monetary union, but I'd like to see Canada and Mexico join the US Dollar.

Worrying too much about the future is a waste of energy.
Societies change
Countries rise and fall
Borders shift
we can either accept it or live in denial.

 The NAU won't ever happen:
1. People in Mexico won't learn the Canadian language.
2. People in Canada won't learn the Creole language.
3. People in the USA won't learn language.

LOL USA almost bankrupt? Our debt is not higher then our GDP. In the Great Depression it WAS higher then the GDP, and we paid it off.
We have had much worse.... the economy is definitely bad, the worst since the Great Depression... but it's not the end of the line for us....
And WHY not Mexico? Let's see... their government is crooked, their police are crooked.. it's not a country on the level with the US... it would not be in our best interest.
And on that note, i'd certainly HOPE there is no NAU.... I don't expect the EU to last... and countries should not lose themselves in the name of economic expansion...
