English, Pig Latin, German. Traveler's Spanish and a little bit of Arabic, although if I could go into my head and erase all the Arabic I know I would.

Ever get your languages mixed up? Last time I used a foreign language it was Spanish and I kept accidentally throwing in German and Arabic words.

1. English (North American, Australian)
2. Spanish (Spain)
3. French (France)
4. Italian (not very well, but can get by)
5. A little Indonesian and Tagalog. Both used to be better when I spent time in both countries. I used to be able to have conversations in Tagalog and Indonesian but not understand what was being said on the TV or in newspapers. I once taught myself Turkish (CDs and with the help of a friend) and when I got to Istanbul I was able to converse simple Turkish with the customs officer who proceeded to speak fast Turkish when I started answering his questions in Turkish. I was actually told by him and a few Turks that I had a Kurdish accent (go figure).
