I am not really multilingual but I speak fluent German, French, a few words of Dutch,Russian and of Arabic.
I forgot, OK in Spanish, more than a few words of Italian.
That's all , folks, and it's plenty! (I think)

I think there are a few multilingual folk around. I'm bilingual in English and Russian. I'd love to pick up a third language - most likely Spanish, as I really enjoy heading south of the US border.

I'm very impressed with people who know multiple languages. Unfortunately I'm not among you but I am learning to speak Cantonese now (Guangdong-wa - the south Chinese dialect spoken here). I'm from a part of the world (NZ) where it's uncommon to know more than one language because we are isolated and don't have other lingual influences (aside from Maori which does influence the kiwi vernacular). Here, you need English, Cantonese and Mandarin just to work in Starbucks! Even my nanny knows four languages. Makes me feel like a bit of an ignoramus.

English, Italian, Spanish, Greek, Portuguese, French, basically in that order of fluency taking all phases of the languages into account.

No reason to be particularly impressed. Some people have skills in some areas, other people in other areas.

Perhaps what is worthy of admiration is one's tenacity in pursuing one's talents to the natural limit for productive purposes.
