You could try Brunei as well, never being their but heard lots of good things about it.

I'll vouch for Singapore, apparently it's not that hard to get into either. While the island itself is mostly urban, it actually does have areas of rainforest, what's more though, it's very easy to go to the rainforest in nearby Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand etc.

I'm not sure about Taiwan, but the rainforest there is more sub-tropical. It's very beautiful though. Unless you learn Mandarin language will be a problem too compared to Singapore where most know some English.
