So trust me on this .... your daughter will have no problems provided she doesn't get into trouble with the law in any way.
And watch out for those Suisse Tottos.

Uhuh .... all true but as I stated above that, unless they are willing to do nothing more than visit, not much else they can do without some other kind of visa.
I do remember some more *funny things*.
When we got our visas in Los Angeles, we got to the consulate or embassy, whatever, and then this guy who looked like a Philippino, was at the window. We first thought that we were at the wrong place. Of all the persons you expect at a Swiss official place, would you have expected to see a Philippino ? We found out, his wife was Swiss ....

On another instance I was visiting a company who I was responsible for, and the receptionist spoke English to me after she found out who I was, although I speak fluent German and French (one reason I got he job). But .... she had this Texan accent !!! I asked where she picked that up and she told me that she was once married to a guy from Texas and lived there for two years.
And then she said in this cute drawl: Ah kehnt geht rihd of this aksehnt ...

(dunno how else to simulate that sentence ...)

In fact, I believe they have may have even done away with formal border controls between Switzerland and France now.

Many week-ends, my two sons joined us in Switzerland and then often we took them back to their domiciles (Belgium and Austria). So we cross the border and then we hand over 7 passports ...
The douane takes the wad of passports, looks at it, counts the passports, never opened them up, then comes to the side of the car (we had a Toyota Van) and counts all the people and lets us trough ...
