Default Obama's 1st crisis ( Somalia Pirates) ends well

I voted in the GOP Primary but I'm proud this was handled well. Too bad there were some in the GOP who were hoping it would end badly so they could get some quick negative sound bites blaming Obama.

I'm not a Bush GOP however he would have made a "tough America" speech and bombed some African country (at random) blaming them for all of this.

Last I heard the President is our Commander in Chief. The buck stops there. You don't think he made and/or approved decisions?

Yeah you can bet if it went badly Zaich and Bls would be blasting Obama. I made the original post anticipating this exact response. Any guess who Bls and Zaich supported in the last election?

( I was big for Ron Paul -signs etc and voted for him in the primary)

This crisis couldn't have ended better in my book. I too was big for Ron Paul (still kinda am) and can't understand the people that hope for bad things to happen just so Obama will look bad. A Navy Seals mission is the best way to send a clear message to these pirates that is just isn't economical to take over U.S.-flagged ships.

I wouldn't say this is his first crisis though-I consider the North Korean missile launch his first major (ongoing) crisis.

Bush did more for Africa (in terms of aid, money, etc) than any other President in U.S. history. Why would he have "bombed Africa?"

You don't know, neither do I. He may have passed gas into the problem's general direction, maybe not. So attributing the success to him on top of the Navy folks, the civilian sailors who fought the pirates, the seals or whoever freed the skipper, is, mildly speaking... <censored>. In any case, I don't see Obama making any effort to contribute to this success bigger than he made bowing to the Saudi king.
