Where did you move from? Ireland is actually the most expensive place in Europe.
Like I said, I don't agree with you all on this. Maybe you could be more specific.

Generally, eastern Europe is more inexpensive than western Europe.

In Europe people don`t have the huge transportation expenses that Americans have. In europe the public transportation is better and people actually walk on the avenues etc...IN USA everybody is in inside a vehicle...everything is so distant..etc.... so Americans have the transportation expense (car, insurance, tools, gas, taxes) that europeans don`t have...I am not saying that Euro people dont drive...I am just saying that any European can easily use the public trasportation to commute, on the other hand...Americans MUST own a vehicle.
This doesn`t apply in NYC...
That`s why there is so many fat people in America.... people drive drive and drive...and when they get hungry they go to Mcdonals and they even don`t get out of the car, they use the drive thru service.
Now...what do you think is more expensive?? USA or Europe?

LOL. I guess you are right to an extent. But not everyone in America is fat. Also, how do you say that all Americans MUST own a car when isn't it Germany that makes the cars? So does that not mean everyone in Germany MUST own a car??

you silly spoon, belfast is in northern ireland which is in the UK, NOT ireland per se. and if you compare what you get for your pound in say london to how far your pound gets you in belfast, there's quite a difference. take a trip sometime (for longer than a weekend) and you'll notice the diff....i dunno how much more specific you would like me to be coz i already mentioned public transport and a few other cost factors....
