Because everything in Europe is advertly more expensive than anything here in the states! I mean sure, Los Angeles - New York - and San Francisco are right up there with the cost of living of the european cities like Paris and Berlin or something like that, but it's generally known that Europe is more expensive to live in than the United States.

I'm was actually born and raised in Europe. That's why I was asking. I actually don't think so. Especially rents are so high here, in my opinion/

having moved to europe from a third world country, i can confirm that european cities are pretty expensive! worst moneygrabbers are pubic transport; rent; water bills; road and municipal taxes. scaryyyy!!
belfast tho....i found to be pretty darn cheap...even the pretty places like cultra and bangor didn't hurt too much (comparatively speaking)
