Yes. And to be honest you'd mistake the average Mexican for part Asian before you'd mistake them for a Southern European.

All I am going to say is, people should take pride in their own culture and not try to latch onto someone else's. Latin Americans should embrace their African and/or Native American roots and the rich contributions to their culture in addition to the Spanish, rather than trying to latch themselves onto Italians or other Southern Europeans who, for the most part, would not recognize a kinship with them.

I think Italian is seen by the rest of the world as being the coolest culture in all of Europe. Hence why you have Brown people from India to Bolivia claiming that they look Italian. Everybody wants to be Italian.

And don't forget Iranians.. they're known for it too. Although in their case, some of them could pass as an atypical Italian but not most.

I never see Brown people claim that they get mistaken for Albanian or Bulgarian, even though these 2 European countries also have a lot of swarthy people just like Italy. But than again their culture is not seen as being as cool as Italy, so it is not as cool to brag that you have been mistaken for any of those 2 groups.

Or Greek either.

And I guess with mixed-race Latin Americans, since they're already of Spanish and/or Portuguese descent, claiming those stopped being interesting so they decide to move on to Italians.

But the fact remains.. no Europeans feel much kinship with any of these groups so their attempts are futile.

I would question the I.Q of any person who would for example confuse this Mexican girl for looking Italian.

She'd pass better as half Asian, than as Italian.

You speak non-sense as usual.

Nobody from India to Bolivia is claiming to be Italian.

Brown people from Jersey Shores is claiming to be Italian. That on the other hand, is a fact.

How do you know she is Mexican.

Second, where did you hear/read that Mexicans are claiming to be Italian?
