Default Living In Curacao?

Does anyone have any knowledge of the practical side of living in Curacao for a long-term stay (but not permanently)? Issues like residency and work permits, cost of living, where to rent? Can you recommend any web sites that address this topic? Thanks!

It is a small island, and in the middle you can see both sides.
Bought a new car there and it took over a year to get it to the very first required service* .....
It is always bloody hot and humid.
Our water lines were above ground and we had sunbaked hot water during the day, and only cool water at night.
We lived there a very long time ago, and thus do not know what the living costs are now.
We also were attached to the CD and thus a lot of stuff was *free* for us.
Your company should be able to take care of all legal hassles.
Otherwise google for Curacao (Netherlands) embassy or consulate in your neighbourhood and check with them.

You must be an EU citizen to reside/live there.

U.S. Nationals can only travel there as visiting tourists.
