I have come to like Dutch more lately, too. I used to be turned off by the really raspy, fricative and plosive sounds, but some speakers and dialects soften that and it actually sounds quite musical; even a tiny bit like Gaelic and Irish Gaelic, which I think are very pretty.
Dutch is my native language, but for me it's not my favorite Germanic language.
English, (British AND American) sounds horrible compared to Scandinavian languages.
And dutch....looks like a dirty variant of German.
The loveliest languages for me are Swedish (soft, happy and intelligent) and Afrikaans (simple and clear).
