Could you list the fields in which the United States takes first place? it is my understanding that we lag many European and Asian countries in a wide variety of areas, especially concerning health, childhood and education.

Statisticly... Japan and China are #1. lol They outrank us in technology, population, and certain parts of war fare. Their Government might be cruel, but its consistant unlike the US. Military wise, Japans army has good bit more soldiers than the US. Although, the US is known for our quick to fight, dont take bull retaliation, and that alone fears most of our oponents out of battle to begin with.

I speak totally, and in fact, US takes the leadership in the major and important fields which influence the world in many aspects.
As for china, it wasn't mentioned because it's still a third world country despite the huge economic progress.

so what if its a third world country? it is progressing at a really fast pace, and if anything that would be the country to take over the world, not the US.
also, why isnt russia in this poll? wow, this poll is soo flawed.
