AMEN to the birds! It's 01:30 here in southern Sweden, more light than dark, and those darn birds are still churping like there is no tomorrow. I want sleep!

It's fascinating how close Norway and Sweden are, and yet our climate is so different. Hey, between us and Russia, despite the proximity, there's a huge difference as well. All thanks to the gulf stream. Even Iceland is warmer on average than say Sweden or Finland, eventhough we're futher down south.

Poor job possibilities, cold weather, long, dark winters. On the plus side: Beautiful nature (ex. Lofoten), Finnmark got lower taxes, the summer month(s) tend to be nice.
