Best architecture in European cities
Which city has the most beautiful architecture in Europe (buildings...)?
I only speak about big cities.

Paris, Prague, Florence, Budapest, Tallinn, Rome,St Petersburg, Edinburgh, Barcelona ( I love Gaudi) would be some of my favourites for exquisite Architecture.

Edinburgh, Barcelona, Paris, Amsterdam, Prague, Rome.
I would have to say that Glasgow has a nice mix of old and new architecture which goes well with the city.

In my experience, Prague has the deepest immediate visual impact in a relatively compact area and reflecting a relatively limited period of time, followed by Florence.
Rome covers a larger area geographically and a much longer period historically, the impact is more diffused, though deeper on the psyche.
Venice is worthy of special mention.
Of course Paris and a whole host of other European cities, as already listed in this thread.

Paris' architecture is great. also Brussels' and Den Haag's (The Hague) in The Netherlands.

It really depends what you are looking for. Many different cities in Europe offer fine architecture but they are all different. Sometimes, less well known cities offer finer examples of certain types than the well known ones.
For example, Glasgow (my home town) has some of the finest examples of Victorian architecture in the UK as well as some very famous examples of Charles Rennie MacIntosh's work. Edinburgh, on the other hand, has some of the finest examples of Georgian architecture.
So you really need to define your frame of reference and then ask the question again.

The vicinity of Eiffel Tower and the structures along River Seine. They where majestic and feels like you're still in the Medieval Age. Just love to gaze and walk and just relax. A real feast on the eyes. That's for me though.  |

Hardly medieval ... more like 19th century. I like the modern architecture of La Defence better personally. |

I haven't been to many European cities but I think Munich. I heard lots of Germans think Munich has beautiful architecture too.
