How I would "group" the cities together in terms of culture, skyline, climate etc would be:
Toronto-esque: Toronto, London, Windsor, Winnipeg, Regina, Saskatoon, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Victoria, Seattle, Portland
Sunshine Cities: San Francisco, Reno, San Jose, Sacramento, Los Angeles, San Diego, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Tucson, Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Denver, Austin, El Paso, San Antonio, Orlando, Tampa, Miami
Heartland/Lakes cities: Minneapolis/St Paul, Omaha, Des Moines, Lincoln, Kansas City, Topeka, Wichita, St. Louis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Indianapolis, Detroit, Louisville, Cincinnati, Toledo, Columbus, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Rochester
Southern cities: Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Dallas, Houston, New Orleans, Little Rock, Memphis, Jackson, Nashville, Birmingham, Jacksonville, Atlanta, Charleston, Charlotte, Raleigh, Richmond
Megalopolis cities: DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York, Boston
