Just wanted to go on record here to say what a great palce Germany is and to say how much I like the Germans who I met, when I was there.
My paternal forefathers are German and we recently discovered that we have extended family in Hanover.
I travelled to Hanover to meet my relatives and sure enough they were able to tell me all about my greatgrandfather who left Germany to travel.
Since then I discovered a lot of really interesting history about my extended inlaws and I hope I was able to fill in a few blanks for them as well.
Since then I have taken frequent holidays in Germany.
I've been to Berlin.
I've been to Munich twice.
In every way, I have found Germany and Germans thoroughly polite and kind - despite my poor command of the German language.
I agree to a large extent, but theres an old joke that "when a Greman gets to heaven he complains to God that the clouds are too white".Germans laugh because they know the German mind is never satisfied. Gets old after a few years.
by clicking the usernames of the people who post comments saying germans are nazis, youll find that most of them, if not all, live in USA. im not trying to sound offending, but it came as no surprise. there are so many people who are like that, you just have to ignore it.
