Try learning a language that doesn't use the latin alphebets. Otherwises, you are not really learning a "foreign language".

West Slavic languages are written in a modified Latin alphabet, yet the written language is virtually incomprehensible to English speakers, so how are those languages "not really foreign"?

Both French and German can be quite challenging, but French should be a little easier.

Forget Italian, it's totally useless, only spoken in Italy and the worst part, very similar to Spanish.

Indonesian is pretty easy. You can learn the basics within a few months.

Arabic is in high demand in the military and intelligence services. Pashto, which is spoken in Afghanistan and Pakistan, seems to also be in demand. I recently saw an ad offering 246K per year for native speakers of Pashto.

French, Italian, German, Arabic, Korean, Chinese, Japanese are also widely spoken.

If you don't learn Russian, you can't read "Moskva-Petushki" in the original. Or any of Pelevin's excellent novels. Or "Master and Margarita" for that matter.
