would like to emigrate to EU
hello,
I am american and am about to finish my college degree in engineering from a well regarded US uni. I would like to emigrate and work in europe after doing so. Can someone perhaps recommend the easiest country to enter? I speak spanish and german pretty well and am caucasian if that matters(It shouldn't).
I humbly thank you in advance for your experienced advice.

England since you're a native English speaker.

Your best bet is probably to seek some kind of graduate or professional course or internship, perhaps in conjunction with a program at your or another US university.
This way, you get your foot in the door to try to contact companies on the ground or perhaps you can come up with an idea for your own business, such as consulting, for example, which would be much better.
Otherwise, contacting companies from here and landing a job is extremely difficult.
In principle, it shouldn't be any easier to become a legal resident of any particular EU, especially Schengen, country, though in practice, again on the ground, conditions will indeed differ depending on country, but most of all on circumstances at the moment.
Good Luck!

Check out the websites of the Spanish, German, & British embassies and look at visa requirements for skilled workers and you can see which one is least difficult for you.

It is difficult for an American citizen to get a work permit/visa to live in any EU country.

For an American citizen, England can be the best option. Living there is more like living in the US.
"On the continent", it is more Europe. So for us, "continentals", the UK is a mix of Europe and the US.

why would he wanna live in the UK when its so alike living in the US?
im guessing the TC wants to experience (a new) culture, so obviously he'll wanna go to the place in europe thats the least alike the US?
Spain is a great place but the job opportunities arent all that great.. since you speak german id try to get a job somewhere in germany, austria or switzerland.. try to find a city as centrally located in europe as you can, so that itll be easier for you to travel around the continent. swizterland would probably be the best, but they speak a really weird version of german over there!!

It's not THAT similiar. Of course there are similarities but there is a wealth of differences as well. There was still a major adjustment period for me - and 99% of other Americans living in the UK that I've spoken to feel the same.

How do you know? Have you lived here? There are things from every aspect of life here in England that you can't find in the US. Even the language - sure, it's English but trust me, with some of the accents here you'll be questioning whether you really are speaking the same language!
