Where should I study?
Hey guys; long-time lurker, first-time poster
Anyway, I'm sure this question has been asked before, but I'm really torn about where to go for my MA study. I always said I would go abroad once my degree was done, and now I'm in a position to afford it, I'm just gonna go for it. I did my degree in London, studying Environmental Science and am hoping to do an MA in Urban design/town planning/architecture, and have narrowed it down to a few locations in Europe, where there is a course offered I would pursue:
Amsterdam
Delft
Utrecht
Groningen
Stockholm
Berlin
Copenhagen
Milan
The Netherlands universities seem to be very really respected for my field, plus I like the place, so I'm in particularly interested in those. However, I am open to all ideas, and am very adventurous. In choosing a place I obviously want to take into consideration cost of living, nightlife, the people and so on, as well as the study.
Of course, with each place, there is the language issue, though I'm already quite sufficient in German, so that's an advantage. Wherever I went, I'd aim to learn as much of the language before I went anyway (and continue once I'm there)
I've never been to Denmark or Sweden so not sure what to expect. So, from those, do you have any idea where you'd pick??
Thanks guys.

As you said, one of the issue would be the language. Even if you try to learn it as much as possible before going, your level will still be unsufficient to study at MA level. If you speak German already, make your best to improve it even more and choose a German-speaking university. That's what I would do.
Good luck!

Amsterdam is practically an english speaking city, so that would help.
If you already have a handle on the German language, Berlin is an outta sight city!

stockholm and copenhagen are just as "english-speaking" as amsterdam.
those are some great cities youve picked out, except the minor dutch ones.
personally, id take stockholm over copenhagen any day. i really like copenhagen, though!
but TBH berlin and amsterdam beat them both.. never been to milan, but ive heard its not that pretty.. but its a good place for business so yeah. i dont know!

Africa: Stellenbosch University : Cape Province, South Africa
University of Pretoria, Pretoria, South Africa
Both have a very high level of education and are internationally recognized.

I think living in the Netherlands would be absolutely fascinating. Not sure that I'd want to live in Amsterdam, as it seems like a major tourist hub, but Utretch looks stunningly beautiful.

Since Berlin is ,by far, the world-class big city on your list it would seen the logical choice.
