Can't stand people making a statement then saying "okay?" then proceeding to another statement w/ another "okay?" They sound like idiots. Also, people who aren't literate enough to know that "en route" is pronounced "on root" not "en rowt." Drives me crazy. Don't they read? It's French idiomatic expression. Again, they sound ridiculous.

Ha! Have you been calling my dad? He always answers the phone that way. I thought he was the only one that did that. I'm not a fan of hearing it.

Overused phrases

"Let's do this!"

"Now that's what I'm talking about."

"Just sayin'."

Bad usage:

"very unique"

I hate when people say "I'm a little OCD about that" or "she's so OCD."

OCD is obessive-compulsive disorder. It's a noun, not an adjective.

You can be a little obsessive, somewhat compulsive, or very obsessive-compulsive, but you can't "be" OCD. A person has OCD. It's something you might have, not something you are or something that describes you.

You wouldn't say "I'm so allergy" because allergy is a noun. You'd say "I'm allergic" or "I have allergies."

You wouln't say "He's very schizophrenia." You say "he has schizophrenia" or He's schizophrenic."

So why are people saying they "are" OCD, or someone "is" OCD? It's all over TV, movies, and I hear people from their teens to their 40s saying it. Ugh.

They would tell me I'm "too OCD about grammar."
