Default Creative Corner

OK guys. This thread is for all of you to show off your creative side. Don't be shy. Post your poetry and anything and everything you do that shows your creative side. Get the recognition you deserve. This was agreed upon as a good idea so I said I would start it. Now it's your turn. I'll start with another poem I wrote.

Original artwork may be posted in the Fine Art Forum We want to see your original artwork,

Pictures of crafts, hobbies etc. May be posted in the Hobbies and Recreation Forum http://www.city-data.com/forum/hobbies-recreation/

A WHISPER IN THE WIND

She hears her name spoken softly in the dark
Sweeter then the sound of a meadowlark
Turning around to find him, searching for his face
In that lonely empty space
It’s just a whisper in the wind

Her heart beats like the pounding of a drum
Tears fill her dark eyes, she is overcome
She begins to tremble and falls to her knees
Listens for a sound on the breeze
A single whisper in the wind

In reality she knows he was never here
She closes her eyes, tries to draw him near
Wills her heart from her body into the night
He shines for her like a blinding light
She’s just a whisper in the wind

In her mind she finds him, two hearts join as one
If only for a while they lay out in the sun
Joyful in the joining like a soft melody
Love lifts them up, sets them free
Like a gentle whisper in the wind

She feels the pull as her body calls her heart
Time and distance pulling them apart
Holding on, she can’t let go
Of love and joy she’s come to know
Nothing but a whisper in the wind

Soon she loses sight of him in a distant mist
A fading memory, a feeling, a kiss
Drifting away, her vision becomes dim
With a lonely tear, calls out to him
Sends a whisper in the wind

Ok, next?

Good idea Country.

It's Friday night, what will I do
The weather is so gloomy,
I think I'll just sit here and post
My den is warm and roomy.

But if by chance my doorbell rings
And friends say come and play,
My C-D buds will have to wait
Till morning, Saturday.

Do not despair, please do not fret
If you find this poem a yawner,
I think the best is yet to come
On the Gamers Creative Corner!

Sitting here, I ponder
Wondering what's over yonder

I'm as silly as can be
I'm hoping no one will report me

CD is a cool place, I must say
It passes time, many a day.

I have no idea, what I"m saying
I think, I need to go back to praying

Laugh and mock me - oh so much
I'm losing my reality and my touch

Torn.

This is one of the lamest things - I"ve ever written, lmao...
