Do you have any photos of the college? There just isn't much information or photos available online.

I only lived in Cody for 2 years. I lived in Worland for around 8-10 years and Casper for a few years also. Casper wins the windy city trophy and just darn cold...but still an ok town.I have fond memories of Worland mostly because of the things we did when growing up. I could ride my bike about 2-3 miles to school or take the bus..East side elementary school if my memory serves me??
We hunted with bb guns, 22's, bow and arrows...rode bikes for miles or just walked..I liked Worland but that was eons ago & things can and do change! ..I dont think i have ever been in Sheridan but i think they are second (first being Jackson) )when it comes to prices for housing or land!
Cody is a beautiful area and for fishing and hunting its the cats meow.As far as the Big Horns I have heard that it has far more hunters and is not like it was!
Not sure if the wolves are there in the Big Horns ... they might issue tags now..Originally the wolves were to only be in the Park...lol http://www.codyenterprise.com/news/local/article_830ff480-efa3-11e0-8e40-001cc4c002e0.html
Cody is where I plan to move cause I have family there and I like small towns with big city shopping...it's not too small that it does not have the amenities!
Golf course? Cody has a golf course? I thought that was a cow pasture!
Out here in So. Cal we got golf courses where greens are slick and fast and scenery to die for. Lots of birdies and eagles

You're correct that the Bighorns aren't like they were a few decades ago. The growth in Gillette is probably to blame for that more than anything... and ATVs! It used to be that you could get back on those logging roads and not see anyone all day long. Now you've got packs of ATVs ripping back and forth along them. Drives me nuts! I was all set up with my long lens and a tripod in the back of my truck last summer taking some pictures of a big bull moose grazing a few yards away, when BRAAAAAAAT-TAT-TAT-TAT-TAT, a half dozen ATVs came charging past me at about 50 mph and that moose was gone! Likewise, fishing used to be a solitary pastime anywhere up there. Not any longer. Now you've got to do some hiking to get away from the crowds.

And yes, the wolves have made it to the Bighorns as well. They have fun killing sheep. We even had a wolf spotted outside Gillette this past summer.

There are no wolves in the Big Horns. Sheridan is not second only to Jackson for prices. I don't know where people get these miths.

EH, there were a couple articles in our local paper last summer about wolves killing sheep on the mountain SW of Buffalo and how the sheep herders weren't allowed to shoot the wolves unless they were actually in the act of killing. IIRC some were spotted following the sheep or watching them, but the killing was being done at night. I'm thinking it was well over a dozen sheep that were killed from one herd.

It's a known fact that some of the wolves have migrated hundreds of miles to Colorado, so why not to the Bighorns. And like I said, one was reported south of Gillette a couple times.

Oh, you were kidding I guess.

Yellowstone wolves migrate to the Big Horn Mountains - KOTA Territory News

Officials seeking black wolf sightings in eastern Wyoming
Nope, wasn't kidding. Several hunters have reported wolves. A couple of hunters even set up a camera that reacts to movement and got several real good pictures of what they thought were wolves feeding on a carcus above Buffalo. Fish and Game published in the paper that those hunters were mistaken and that there were no wolves in the Big Horn Mountains. That was their official stance. They said the critters that were spotted and the pictures were of hybreds and not wolves. So who are we to argue. Fish and Game says there are no wolves, there are no wolves as far as I'm concerned. So if I see any hybreds, I guess it's ok to shoot them.

Earlier I went looking for the article and I can't find it. It was published in the Sheridan Press about 2 years ago and then it was brought up again last year and again they reiterated, "There are no wolves in the Big Horn Mountains."

The Park was introduced (not reintroduced) with McKenzie Wolves years ago. The McKenzie wolf can be as large as 150 lbs (old greys that were originally here were 50 lbs) and range 500-650 miles. But evidentally, according to Fish and Game, can't make it all the way to the Big Horns which is only 150 miles from were they live.

So how does the Game and Fish explain the three wolves that were shot and killed in the Big Horns? (See my link)
Or the one near Gillette with the radio collar? (Other link) The Big Horns are squarely between Gillette and Yellowstone. He didn't get here by way of Baltimore!

I guess the G&F folks are well trained to just "say it isn't so".
