Hi, several c-d people have expressed interest in visiting or moving to Powell, WY. We need information and photos from local residents. We've already looked at photos currently on the Web. Would be interested in photos of the college campus as well.

Thanks, EH. I'm hoping someone on here is from there now or has lived there previously. Doesn't hurt to ask, right?

Yes, I'm a FB friend of the curator/director of the Homesteader Museum in Powell. I just posted on her wall - asking if she had some photos of Powell, the campus, etc.

City of Powell, Wyoming

We lived in both Cody and Powell in the mid-90's. Loved Powell, hated Cody for any number of reasons.

Not necessarily, some folks visit C-D 1/mo or so, especially during fall preparation for winter in WY

And those who have 'found' their spot aren't looking any longer.

BTW, I wouldn't consider WY a MYOB destination nearly as much as OR and WA are.

If WY neighbors don't see you moving around for a day or 2 they might check in to see if you're OK. IN OR & WA they will wait till the smell gets too bad, (might be summer) then call the cops to check in on you. The story on the Colo forum about the Seattle guy who moved to Denver, and had to have a 'high speed garage door opener' installed as he didn't want to talk to his CO neighbors when he came home, about sums it up .

WY seems to be more LALL, do your own thing..., we won't tell, but WY folks WILL stop to help you on the side of the road or in a health crisis.
