Winter is almost here so it's time to start this thread back up.
For those interested in last winters weather, do a search (upper right corner) for "weather alert" and the list will show you summer and winter weather threads.
I don't often get all the weather alerts for the entire state. That's why I rely on you folks for your area. I am a weather reporter for Billings, who maintains weather tracking for Sheridan area. When I go in to check particular storms, if they are tracking East, I'll post those weather alerts also. But you folks on the other side of the Big Horns will have to chip in. Same with the Southern part of the state.
If you get a weather alert in your area, please post it. Don't have to have the full report, but if the radio is giving a winter weather advisory, please post what you can.
Thanks, together we can give folks a picture of what our state is doing.

We had 'golf ball' snow and slush from Moorcroft to Sundance this evening and have a little white sticking on the grass right now. The wind was absolutely HOWLING, I got passed by a trash bag going 35 mph thru Moorcroft, and got blown all over the road on the way home.
I run into Sheridan for a doctors appointment today and on the way home run into slushy snow hitting the windshield. Ground is warm so nothing sticking.
When I went into town I noticed snow on the Big Horns down to about the 5,000 ft mark.
High winds here today also. Made changing lanes easy, even if you didn't want to.
