Default casper mtn fire

Wow folks, I've been looking at the photos of Casper Mtn fire in the Trib online and I'm amazed! I just moved my wife and son out from MS and I'm still here trying to sell house so I can move out. Luckily my family isn't in evacuation area(yet) so I'm not too worried about them. Man but the mt.isn't going to be the same for a while. I'm sure it will be healthy for the mt ecology in the long run but it's awful right now. Are any of you folks in evac zone? Saw one photo of downtown casper and I know it's gotta be hard to breath there right now. Thoughts are with ya'll. Hope to be there soon!

Although I live on the outside of town it was ok. I only had smoke one night and that was when the fire went to the west of me. But ya coming into town to work it was some smoke going around. They opened the mountain back up yesterday but only want people that live up there for now. They said that the fire will be burning up until we get snow. They got it roped off and the places it is still burning is where there are pine beatle kill and to rough to get to. They said there will be smoke and flames up to that point but nothing to worry about.

It will take some time to regrow but it is just part of nature. The great thing is that not many houses on the mountain was lost and the firefighters did a outstanding job.
