1-80 from Laramie to Rawlins, or I-25 from Cheyenne to Casper? In terms of weather conditions on a typical day

Flip a coin and you'll have your answer.

That's a good question. Having watched the weather forecasts, I'd say both have as strong and as violent winds as each other. I-80 tends to have more snow in the Laramie area and further East of Laramie. But I-80 has winds more often then I-25 does.

That's not to say that Chugwater to Wheatland isn't bad, because it is. Just less often then Rawlins to Laramie.

I check the weather throughout the state on a daily bases. I look at the projected forecasts, the advisories, etc. But I don't see the end result. So I'll say that I-80 comes up on the advisories more often then I-25.

Any of the interstates in Wyoming can be bad. I've run into severe weather on all three. Just watch the road report before you go out. Also keep in mind that the severe weather is fair game between October and April with March being the worst I've experienced personally. My "Bermuda Triangle" where I have the worst luck with weather is between Casper and Buffalo.

Definately I-80 from Laramie to Rawlins, that's why the state just spent a bundle putting in electronic signs so they can lower the speed limits through there during the winter months. They set it up so they can post different limits in different areas.
