Hi

I have a very serious question for this group. My son and I had a very strange encounter while riding in the Wind River Range.

We saw and smelled something that I still can't quite believe.

I feel very certain that we had an encounter with a Bigfoot or Sasquach(spelling?)

I know this may sound crazy but I am a life long hunter and professional business person. I don't think it was a hoax as the chance that someone could or would have know where we would be that far back in is impossible.

My question to the group is..have any of you ever had a similar encounter with something very smelly,,,over 7ft tall...walked on two legs....and didn't seem a threat but just going about it's business?

Again, this is a serious and honest question?

Thanks

I've never heard of Bigfoot sightings anywhere in Wyoming. Could it have been a grizzly bear standing on its hind legs? I myself have never had a Bigfoot (or grizzly) encounter.

I've had several "encounters" with grizzlies. They're certainly over 7 feet tall. While most wouldn't walk on their hind legs for too long, it's probably more likely it was a bear than Bigfoot.

After I bagged my first (and last) elk I pronounced to all that I was going to restrict my future hunts to Bigfoot -- with a camera. That was 30+ years ago, and I'm still hunting for him. I've gotten lots of pictures of deer, antelope, moose, elk, birds and waterfowl, bighorn sheep, mountain goats, bears and little critters of all kinds, but I haven't found Bigfoot yet.

I've heard of sightings in WY--28 sightings that I know of. I have a friend who is very "into" this subject, and I know he would love to hear your story. If you're interested I could put you in touch with him--just message me and I could arrange it.

I'm not really a believer, but I do find these stories interesting. My friend, mentioned above, invited me on a Bigfoot outing in the Wind River Mtns several years ago after several sightings were reported. While skeptical, I jumped at the chance to at least go camping--as I hadn't been out in the woods for a couple of years due to my job. No, we didn't see anything, but it was nice to get out and go camping.

Default Bigfoot

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I can tell you what we saw was not a bear. A bear doesn't walk that far like a person and has arms with distinct digits...

I promise not a bear.

I appreciate the offer to speak with folks who study this. Let me think about it a bit. I may have said too much already....

Thanks

I want to bottle the water out of the last spring you drank from before the sighting.

Pictures? Everyone carries a cell phone with a built in camera these days, which always makes me wonder why there aren't more pics of these "sightings". I also wonder why a hunter wouldn't shoot something like that if they saw it, just saying...

When you consider how many people are mistaken for deer and shot, if there were bigfeet out there, a bear hunter would have shot one long ago.
