Default Pinedale?

Alright, I'm a nurse practitioner student and myself and another NP student have the opportunity to work in Pinedale for the month of July at a small practice. I have spent some little time in Casper, but I know nothing about this area of Wyoming and my fellow student was born and raised in Connecticut (ie: she knows even less than I do) and we have a few questions and I'm hoping this board can help me/us out.

First off, does anyone know anything about Pinedale? What's there? We both love the outdoors and we're really looking forward to that aspect of being there, but is there anything else around? We're not looking for New York City by any means, but we would like to know a little about the place!

And does anyone have any idea how to go about looking for a place to sublet/rent/stay in? Will we be able to find anything in Pinedale you think? Is there someplace else/better we should be looking? Like I said, I know NOTHING about the area, except what I can find on wikipedia and the WY tourist bureau (which isn't super helpful to be honest).

We're sort of over our heads here and looking for any help from you all, so thanks!

The company I work for has a couple of businesses in Pinedale.

Accommodation will be the biggest hurdle. Your employer should help with this. Other than that there is lots of hiking and outdoor adventures in the area. A month will not give you enough time to even scratch the surface. You will need a vehicle.

Here is the local paper link. Sublette Examiner news information happenings Pinedale WY 82941

Pinedale has outdoor activities aplenty. There is plenty of hiking to be done all around the area. Several lakes lie in the areas above town. While you won't get much culture there, you can go to Jackson to get some of that. It won't be New York City but it is civilization. And since you are that close to Jackson you might as well check out Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks.
