Default is there a "mayberry" in wyoming?

my wife just asked me that, so i figured i'd try. is there a mayberry-like town in wyoming? seriously? and i suspect that that most of the responses will say, "everywhere!," as everything we have heard about wyoming has been incredible; but, again, we are looking for a cool, small town that's very very safe, and looaded with very friendly people. oh yeah, we're in the film business, so an area stocked with a few creative souls would be great, too, but not necessary. i guess safety and peace and quiet and cool people would be the main goals. thanks in advance for your help.

You're in the film business? That's very interesting. I'm thinking of going into the film business myself, though I don't think it's very feasible or realistic for myself.
I've never heard of any Mayberry WY, but as far as artistic towns, I'd try Jackson for sure, Cody, and maybe Sheridan. What are you planning on doing in Wyoming as far as the film business is concerned?

MAYBERRY REFERS TO AN OLD SHOW WITH ANDY GRIFFITH AND THE LATE DON KNOTTS - SMALL TOWN, GOOD PEOPLE, SAFE, ETC. LOOKING FOR A TOWN LIKE THAT, SPECIAL. VERY SPECIAL. I WILL BE LIVING THERE AND SHOOTING A FILM THERE. IN THE MEDITERRANEAN NOW, BUT HAVE SWITCHED GEARS AND NOW CHECKING OUT WYOMING, ON THE ADVICE OF ONE OF MY PRODUCERS WHOSE PARENTS LIVED THERE. SAFETY IS A VERY BIG THING, AND CERTAIN PARTS SEEM ODDLY HIGHER IN CRIME THAN I THOUGHT THEY WOULD BE. ANYWAY, YEAH, WYOMING... IF YOU CAN HELP, I'D APPRECIATE IT. NO PROMISES, AND NO PAY EVEN IF I DO, BUT I WILL TRY HARD TO FIND SOMETHING FOR YOU TO DO. MY NAME IS LARRY HOLDEN, I'M AN ACTOR AND DIRECTOR. USE MY ACTING MONEY TO MAKE MY OWN LOW-BUDGET INDIE FILMS, FOR LACK OF A BETTER DESCRIPTION. FUNNY THING IS I HAD MY WEBSITE GUY USE WYOMING TO THROW OFF SOME STALKERS (SEE THE NEWS SECTION AT MY SITE: WWW.HOLDENAUTOMOTIVE.COM) (broken link), AND NOW I REALLY MIGHT BE GOING THERE. NO THREATS, JUST YOUN G GIRLS GETTING SILLY AND FORGETTING I'M FORTY-FIVE YEARS OLD. WRITE ME DIRECT AT: larry@holdenautomotive.com AND TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF (DREAMS, ETC), AND WE'LL GO FROM THERE. THANKS FOR TRYING TO HELP ME RESEARCH AND FIND A GREAT, UNIQUE PLACE... THAT'S SAFE,. SAFE, SAFE, AND LOADED WITH COOL AND FRIENDLY FOLKS. LH.

Default Throwing in another section of WY’s, closest-thing-to-a-Mayberry

Two communities in Carbon County, (southeastern WY);

1st most similar; Elk Mountain - approximate population of 191 - very scenic, laid back, very quiet, and probably the most “safe” to be found anywhere in WY - (website for Elk Mt. - http://www.wyomingcarboncounty.com/html/elkmountain.html (broken link) )

2nd runner-up; Medicine Bow - approximate population of 269 - a little more activity going on here than in the above mentioned town, but still a peaceful town - not near as scenic however, yet does have alluring/interesting history, along w/the same for its existing geological points of interest - and as I’ve read before, this community is one of the oldest in the state - (website for Medicine Bow - http://www.wyomingcarboncounty.com/html/medicinebow.html (broken link))
