Hello. I'm hoping for a positive outcome for a job in the Lander area. After reading many, many posts, it seems that once you "live" in Wyoming, it's easier to secure a job, than trying to get a job prior to moving there. What do you think? The hubby and I would be willing to move even with just the one job. Thx--- Rene

In Big business, professional positions, securing a job prior to a move is probably the best idea.

But you are correct, in most cases, jobs are not listed and are filled by word of mouth or by local folks. You can find out about these jobs by being there.

Personally, I would not suggest it as it's a very risky move. But if you have the savings to live off of and feel confident that something in your field is readily available, I'd go for it. But that's me and I have no obligations.

Thanks. We could make it for a while, especially with the increase in pay/ lower cost of living. It would be a leap of faith to some degree, but worth it. Should hear back within the next couple of weeks.

It is always a leap of Faith. My wife and I looked over the abyss and stepped out. Our faith in the Lord and prayer with action sustained us thru this move across country. Do not get me wrong.....it has been a rough road to travel. We endured 6 months apart, a home in NC that will not sell, supporting ourselves on one income, 2 daughters that would not move (they are in college), and leaving a church home. These are all minor compared to what we have gotten from this. We both have good jobs and this experience has strengthened our relationship with the Lord and each other. It has been easier for me as I am a Wyoming native returning after 25 years, but Mrs. Eiafjam has been a trooper throughout. Keep the faith and pray honestly and you will be fine.

Hello. Just because everyone is so nice on this board, just letting you know I'm getting a little excited. The company I've applied for is showing interest in my application. Wish me luck.
