It is that time of year to switch over to Summer weather alerts.

Should you want to look at the Winter weather we had in 2010-2011, you can find it HERE.

If you have severe weather in your area, or get a weather alert, feel free to post it. This is not a reliable warning system, but more of a data bank for people to see how Wyoming weather has been.

I will try and post an significant weather warnings that I can. I can't get them all so it's up to everybody. Doesn't have to be an official printed out warning, if you hear it on the radio or tv, please post it. Even if you just want to pos, "Damn it's hot here." That's fine. Anything weather related.

You can get weather reports tailored for your immediate area, and I do mean immediate. There are traffic and cam links from this website.

Type your zip code. Then move the cursor over the map, getting it as close to your place of interest. It will give you a very specific forecast, virtually for your house.

Default Strong rain storm, Sheridan area, 5-8-2011

A strong Pacific system will moving into the area tonight will bring heavy rainfall across the region. There is a possibility for 2 -4 inches of precipitation in the plains with locally heavier amounts. The foothills of the Crazy Mountains and the Beartooth foothills can also expect heavier amounts of precipitation. Heavy rains will cause a sharp rise in river levels by mid-weekminor flooding is possible.
