...Thanks everyone and see you soon!
You can likely get a 'back-haul' to pay for fuel to Cheyenne if you post on CL, surely someone in Gillette will be wanting to leave mid-winter and head SOUTH (it is down wind too!!). You can likely get a cheap ride back home too. Lots of NB I-25 traffic. You might have to go through Buffalo to get a ride east. (I did the DEN > Buf > Rapid > Ft C daily run for awhile during college... it was fun in winter, Kept me awake)

I found if you keep the Penske (DT466) under 63 mph it gets about 12 MPG (That was loaded to 36,000#). It only gets ~6mpg @ 80mph.
Be sure to get a good Penske (stop by the day before pickup and check it out). The first of 3 trips we got a dog... that was no fun.

Good luck and have a geat trip.

Thanks everyone for all the info! We changed and decided to go with budget. They were a bit higher in price so I sent them an email because they said they would try to price match. They didnt match Penske's price but they did come down about $300 and added 2 days!! So now we get to move a day early! The best part is that they have a dropoff in Sheridan! Much closer and now we will get to see some more of Wyoming!!
We should be pullin into town on the 2nd!
So if you see a 16' budget truck pullin an orange neon and a silver GMC lifted 10" following it, thats us!!! Be sure to honk and we will wave!
See ya soon!!

Hey TJ:

How much did Budget charge for a 36,000# truck? We're moving to Sheridan this summer and I couldn't find anything but U-Haul there...

Thanks for the clue!
