Hello everyone!
I will be moving to Gillette in about 2 weeks from Arizona and wanted to rent a Penske truck because its cheaper then u-haul! When I search their site for a drop off it shows Cheyenne.
Does anyone know if there is anywhere in Gillette or anywhere closer then Cheyenne drop it off?
Thanks,
Chris

First contact Penske, they may have an 'independent' drop site closer than Cheyenne.

Penske is more 'commercial' focused, thus I suspect Cheyenne is their nearest terminal.
Find Rental Trucks Near You - Penske Quality Truck Rentals Shows nothing in MT (Billings, is 10 miles closer than Cheyenne). SD only drop is Sioux Falls. For the fuel cost to Cheyenne (and hitch-hiking / CL home...), you probably better look into another truck company. Maybe Budget / Hertz / Ryder ....

Denver drop might be cheaper rate than Cheyenne (depending on need for 'out-bound' trucks)

I did a couple cross country moves for friends last yr, and the Penske (DT466) was the best and most economical to drive.

sorry, no penske here in gillette. u haul is the only option. dropping off a truck in cheyenne with the 7 hour round trip and additional mileage will probably be more than a u-haul in the end.

and, welcome to gillette

Thanks everyone for the help! Looks like we will still be using the penske, they dont charge for mileage and it will be running empty back to cheyenne so hopefully the gas isnt too bad. We are so excited to move, the date cant come fast enough!!
The "tj" in my name is for the jeep i owned (recently sold it). IT was a 97 wrangler Tj they call em.

One more thing, Can someone give us the contact info for the water and electric company that serves Gillette!

Thanks everyone and see you soon!

water/electric/trash/sewer are all handled thru the city of gillette and comes as one bill. you need a deposit to start up a new account or if you have a letter of good standing from your previous utility company they will take that in lieu of the deposit.http://ci.gillette.wy.us/index.aspx?page=389

the tj thing i assumed was a jeep thing as i have a built yj and am a member of a local 4wd club.

good luck.

Thanks Wild hare!
I see on the city web site it says $200 for water connection but do you know if that covers everything that comes on the bill? So what i'm asking is- is it $200 to get everything turned on (water, electric, etc)?
Thanks!
