Yes. Fame all the way back to being written up by Duncan Hines 'way back when he was traveling the USA and writing up great restaurants. Still worth the trip there, come hungry.

Hey Sunsprit, you had mentioned you were going to try out Sapore's next time you were in Riverton. Just a heads up; Sapore's owner just bought The Bull.... so you will try The Bull instead. Should be an interesting to see what Sapore's Seattle trained chef brings to the "table".

I see Agave Mexican Restaurant just opened up here too. They have restaurants in Jackson and Star Valley. Any reviews from that area??

As to Rock Springs - can't say - didn't spend much time there exc FJ. The Wolf in Saratoga rivals anything in No. Wyoming.

I had the prime rib at Cassie's tonight and it was absolutely excellent. I've had prime rib all over the US and this is the best I've ever had.

The problem is, we can't just jump in the truck and drive to Redding.

The last really good prime rib I had was last Thanksgiving. We cooked it along with 2 Turkeys and had about 30 guests.

The last really good prime rib I went to a restaurant to eat was at the Cattleman's Cut in Sheridan. They closed up shop years ago. Now it's Ole's Pizza.

Like most folks, there has got to be something to make me want to go in and try a place. An ad in the local paper, or coupons, just won't do it. I usually depend on somebody else telling me that a place serves a really good prime rib.

When I was stationed in San Diego, the wife and I used to go to the Butcher Shop. It is exactly that, a butcher shop. You go into the first room and it's all meat coolers. You look through all the meat coolers and when you find what you want, you point it out. The guy picks the cut out and gives you a flag to put on your table. He then asks you how you want it cooked. You tell him, grab your flag and go sit down. A waitress comes along and takes your order for what sides you want with it. Then you help yourself to the salad bar while their getting everything ready. Pretty darn good steaks and fairly reasonably priced.
