Default Rock Springs or Bust

Hello everyone. My wife and I are being transferred to Rock Springs from Bakersfield, Ca. We are happy about the move and have fortunatley had an opportunity to secure a rental townhouse there in Rock Springs without much trouble. I have a few friends that moved there a few months ago and are still looking for a place to lay their heads besides the Holiday Inn. I have heard some horror stories, but for the most part we are looking forward to leaving California. So we hope that you welcome 2 more non- meth users to your neck of the woods.

Mike.

Mike,
I'm glad to hear that you found a rental unit. That is the one thing that seems to be most difficult for folks moving to the Rock Springs area. It will be a big change from Bakersfield, as R.S. is only about 1/10 the size. You know the winter will be a lot worse for wind and cold than what you had in Bakersfield, but hopefully you won't have the Tule fog.

There are a lot of things Bakersfield has that R.S. doesn't. This is also part of the appeal of moving to the area for many folks, like I plan to do when I retire. Well, I'll be moving to eastern Wyoming (near Wheatland), and will also be leaving Kern County when I go there, but it's still years away for me.

I hope all goes well for you on your move, and that you get settled in easily.

Mike2e.

Did you bring long johns? haha Throw them out. Buy some new ones at the WalMart that are grey in color. You'll find them in the sporting goods area.

Sure is nice to have on warm pants. hahaha
